The First Haircut

I had put off getting Christian's hair cut for far too long; it was officially scraggly in the back. After being bald for so long, it was difficult for me to trim his tender locks. However, it needed to be done. This morning, with a package of crackers, a bottle of water, a paci, and a prayer, we headed to the barber shop. I was uncertain of how Christian would react. As we waited for his name to be called, Christian took in the scene. Christian was reluctant to sit in the converted seat initially; however, once the cape was on, he took everything in stride. He did not cry, nor did he wiggle (too much). He was (and is) my big man. Sporting his new "big boy" haircut, we headed to the park and he played in true "big boy" fashion, sliding down the big slides, climbing up ladders, and picking up every rock and stick he could find.

Love this! It reminds me of Jack's first haircut!
